Welcome to the Department of Public Finance at Sakarya University.
We have large and vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs and a fabulous staff. Our team consisting of two professors, two associate professors, four assistant professors and six research assistants has been dedicated to provide quality education to its students since 2002. We are proud of serving more than a thousand students eager to learn and apply what they have acquired.
We work hard to offer the best public finance education at all levels. We are happy to announce that Ph.D program in Public Finance has been added to our ongoing masters and joint Ph.D programs.
Dear students,
I invite you to join our department committed to renew and update its curriculum to accommodate new advances in the area. Beside the required courses in the area you will have a chance to get ahead by taking forward-looking pool of elective courses. Our faculty members and their assistants do spend quite some time and energy to provide students the best counseling service possible in their struggle to overcome the challenges they are likely to face in a highly competitive job market. We believe that faculty and student interaction at all levels is very important and that we cruise together in our endeavor. That is why I would like to emphasize that we value feedbacks from our students.
I find it important to remind you the following before I wrap up my welcoming comments: There is no doubt that the program of the Department of Public Finance is designed to pave the way for the students to find a job both in private sector and public sector. However, students should be aware of the fact that reaching the goal of ending up one’s dream job is first of all his or her own responsibility. Thus, you need to equip yourself for your dream job. We assure you that we will be there for you in this endeavor. We are happy to observe that each year more and more graduates have been filling up prestigious positions.
